Tuldok Animation's RISE Project Receives CCP Innovation Grant

As part of its calibrated response towards the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP)  implemented an Innovation Grants Program.

This paved the way for Tuldok's RISE Project, which opened the doors to the production of the Bernardo Carpio comics with augmented reality component and the short animated films Bernardo Carpio, Si Bulusan nan si Agingay, and Sulayman.

Apo Juban – town chief; an aging warrior and rival of Mampak

Mampak Bulusan – the kind-hearted half brother of Casiguran found by Apo Juban in the jungle; doesn’t agree on invading the lands of Mampak

Agingay – the beautiful wife of Bulusan; comes from a royal family

Casiguran – heir to the throne of Apo Juban; and rival of Bulusan seeks attention from his father

Putiao – childhood friend of Bulusan and Casiguran; lusts for power; lover of Irosin

Irosin – the wealthy lover of Casiguran and love interest of Putiao; arranged to be married to Casiguran by their parents

Gurang Donsol – elder and co-warrior of Apo Juban; father of Putiao

Gurang Matnog – uncle of Bulusan and Casiguran; favors Bulusan

Gurang Bacon – political adviser of Apo Juban; favors Casiguran; always disagrees with Gurang Matnog

Mampak – high level magician who can change to a giant bird and is the sworn enemy of Apo Juban, considered as bane to the village and has a territory in the mountains not yet taken by Apo Juban
